After studying for a business degree in Birmingham and working for a few years in a Local Authority, Arthur joined the Oil Industry as long ago as 1975. He joined Elf Oil (GB) Ltd just after they entered the UK Market with the acquisition of VIP Petroleum and worked for them for 12 years initially in Strategic Planning and then in the Retail environment. He spent time covering most of the major areas within Retail including Pricing, Marketing Services, Dealer Account Management, Retail Economics and Investment Planning. Arthur left Elf in 1987 to join US based consultants MPSI Systems where he looked after Oil Company clients across Western Europe, South Africa and the former Eastern block. At MPSI he developed an extensive knowledge of Oil Company culture and their network planning techniques and processes.
Arthur joined Catalist, as the Company was then called, in 2001 specifically to develop Catalist’s business in the UK and Ireland and has worked at developing good relationships with Dealers, Suppliers and Oil Companies alike.
Arthur looks after all key accounts in the region and
is responsible for our UK Retail Pricing services as used across the Industry.
With over 32 years oil industry experience, Arthur is our resident expert on the retail side of the oil industry and is a regular contributor to various industry journals and conferences on the Forecourt sector.
